Beautiful Granite & Marble wants this website to work for everybody, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control.
What we're aiming for
We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most commonly used for websites in the United States.
What we've done
- Every meaningful photograph has a written description for screen readers
- The whole site can be operated with a keyboard, and the focus outline is always visible
- Headings are in a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page
- Text and background colors are checked for readable contrast
- The site reflows for phones, tablets, and enlarged text
- Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for reduced motion
Where we know we fall short
We are a small shop and this is an ongoing job, not a finished one. If something on this site doesn't work for you, that's a problem we want to hear about and fix.
